BTS's Jin Is Helping Save Lives, Says the American Heart Association

CPR-ready tempo of Don’t Say You Love Me cited by the AHA

The American Heart Association has said that BTS member Jin is helping save lives. In an official Instagram post, the organization stated that Jin’s Don’t Say You Love Me has a tempo of 112 beats per minute, a pace that aligns with hands-only CPR. The association described Jin as “World Wide Handsome” and said he is contributing to lifesaving efforts. It added that Jin’s rendition of Don’t Say You Love Me is a song whose beat is perfectly suited for CPR because it drives chest compressions without artificial respiration.

Since the May 16 release of Jin’s solo mini-album Echo, all tracks have been warmly received worldwide. The title track, Don’t Say You Love Me, recorded 564.2 million streams on Spotify by October 18, 2025, making it the most-streamed K-pop song on Spotify globally for 2025. As of November 9, 2025, it has surpassed 625 million streams, marking Jin as the first 2025 K-pop solo artist to reach 600 million Spotify streams.

Jin also holds seven number-one songs on Billboard’s World Digital Song Sales chart, the most by a solo artist in the chart’s history, and Echo has spent more than 22 weeks on the Billboard World Albums chart, underscoring his immense popularity. Additionally, Jin was the top-selling K-pop solo artist in the United States in 2025 based on pure album sales.
