The globally popular animated series “K-Pop Demon Hunters” is reportedly moving forward with a sequel. Netflix and Sony Pictures are said to have signed a deal to produce Season 2, with production planned to wrap in 2029 and bring back the team from the previous season.

The project is expected to bring back the core production team from the first season, with director Maggie Kang and other key creatives returning to work on the new installment.

Since its June release, the show has drawn strong audience interest on Netflix and has been widely embraced by viewers.

Given animation’s lengthy production timeline, industry observers note that Netflix will need a strategy to sustain public interest until the sequel arrives.
