A Japanese woman in her 50s was indicted without detention for allegedly kissing BTS member Jin during a fan event.

A Japanese woman in her 50s has been indicted without detention on charges of forcible molestation in connection with an incident involving BTS member Jin. The indictment was announced by the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office on the 12th. The woman allegedly kissed Jin on the cheek during a fan-engagement event attended by about 1,000 fans at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa District after Jin completed his military service.

Police had earlier summoned the woman for questioning, but the inquiry was paused due to anticipated delays. She later appeared voluntarily for questioning, and Songpa Police forwarded the case to prosecutors after deeming the charges admitted. The case is now headed to trial.
