KGMA’s Music Day in Incheon bridges generations under a “Link to K-Pop” theme

KGMA 2025’s Music Day unfolded on November 15 at Incheon’s Inspire Arena, featuring a lineup of special stages exclusive to the festival and a theme that connected generations of K-pop under “Link to K-Pop.” The event showcased performances by rising 5th-generation acts who reimagined classic hits in their own styles.

First, the rookie group Aidit delivered a bright interpretation of H.O.T.’s Happiness, pairing cheerful outfits with lively choreography that energized the venue. The act was followed by Ahob, who reinterpreted BigBang’s Bang Bang Bang with a dynamic, multi-member arrangement, filling the stage with explosive energy. The chorus highlighted a sharp, polished performance that paid tribute to the original choreography while showcasing the newcomers’ own flavor.

Closing the segment, KickFlip offered a bold take on Stray Kids’ Maniac, presenting a stronger, more intense concept. Stray Kids themselves rose to applaud their juniors, signaling a show of mutual respect and support among Generations 1–4.

KGMA aims to spotlight the year’s standout K-pop artists and works, delivering differentiated content that highlights the broader spectrum of the genre. The event is organized by KGMA’s organizing committee along with Creatorling and DOD, with sponsorship from iM Bank, Pizza Etang, Label Corporation, and Hollys. KT ENA is the broadcasting partner, with TikTok Live streaming domestically and internationally (excluding Japan and China); Hulu Japan will offer live coverage in Japan.
