aespa, Ailit, and ANTEAM have been named to perform on NHK’s year-end program Kohaku Uta Gassen, Japan’s flagship year-end music show. NHK announced the lineup for the 76th Kohaku on November 14, confirming the three groups’ participation. Kohaku Uta Gassen is broadcast live every December 31 and is regarded as Japan’s largest year-end music event.
Notably, Ailit earned an invitation following its debut last year and has secured a place on the show for a second consecutive year this year. Ailit’s management expressed gratitude via official social media for the continued invitation and promised to deliver a memorable performance.
AESPA and ANTEAM are set to make their Kohaku debut with this appearance. ANTEAM, a HYBE boy group formed in Japan, will seek to reaffirm their standing in the local market through this appearance.
Historically, Kohaku has hosted Korean artists since the 1980s, with BoA and Dong Bang Shin Ki among the notable acts in the 2000s.
