Lee Yi-kyung, who abruptly left Nolmwo, was spotted on the set of a Japanese drama soon after his exit. He reportedly filmed Korean portions for the Japanese-TBS co-produced drama Dream Stage at Incheon International Airport on the 12th, portraying the lead opposite Tomoya Nakamura and Ha Yeon-su.

Dream Stage is a joint production between CJ ENM of Korea and TBS of Japan. CJ ENM announced last May that it would co-produce two films and more than three terrestrial dramas with TBS over the next three years.

The actor was previously highlighted for the Korean TVN drama My Husband, Please Marry Me, whose Japanese remake helped him gain prominence and be cast as the lead in Dream Stage. This development has positioned him on a trajectory toward global stardom, especially as he has also added a Vietnamese film project, I Am Here, to his schedule.

The timing of his Nolmwo departure has drawn attention, with some linking it to personal rumors that circulated at the time. His agency indicated they would take legal action against defamation and false statements. Meanwhile, he has stated that he will continue his fixed appearances on other programs such as I’m Solo and Brave Detectives 4.
