NewJeans have ended a year-long hiatus and are set to return, with the fate now seemingly in Adore’s hands. Could all of NewJeans’ members be returning to Adore?
In the afternoon of the 12th, Adore officially announced the comeback of Harin and Hyein, and about two and a half hours later, Minji, Hani, and Daniel also signaled their intent to return to Adore through their legal representatives. However, this was a notice made without prior consultation with Adore.
The three said, “Recently, after careful consultation, we decided to return to Adore. One member is currently in Antarctica, which caused a delay in communication, and Adore has not yet replied, so we announce our position separately,” they added.
Industry insiders say that on the 11th, four NewJeans members who had stayed in Korea and their guardians met with Adore’s CEO, Lee Do-kyung, to discuss. One member was unable to attend due to being abroad, and the group reportedly conveyed the prerequisites needed for the return.
As a result, Harin and Hyein’s return was officially announced by Adore, and the remaining three members quickly expressed their intent to return. Adore stated that it is coordinating individual interview schedules with the members and will do its best to ensure smooth discussions, with plans for further interviews to determine their intentions.
NewJeans’ year-long hiatus has effectively ended, but the group’s future now hinges on Adore. What decision Adore will make after the interviews remains a topic of keen interest.
