IVE star expands real estate footprint with cash purchase in UN Village

IVE’s 21-year-old member Jang Won-young has purchased a luxury villa in Hannam-dong’s UN Village for 137 billion won. According to court registry records, the Lucid House unit measures 244 square meters and was bought in March, with ownership transferred last month.

With no mortgage recorded, the deal is believed to have been financed entirely in cash. The seller was Ji-yong Lee, a scion of the DL Group and former CEO of Daelim Trading.

Lucid House is regarded as one of UN Village’s most premium villas, offering views of the Han River and Namsan. The two buildings together host only 15 units, contributing to its exclusivity, and security is described as stringent; the property has also been associated with actress Kim Tae-hee prior to her marriage to Rain.

Born in 2004, Won-young rose to fame after finishing first on Mnet’s Produce 48 and debuted with Iz*One. After Iz*One disbanded, she re-debuted with IVE under Starship Entertainment. IVE comprises Won-young, Ahn Yu-jin, Ga-eul, Rei, Liz, and Leeseo, and their discography includes Eleven, Love Dive, Baddie, Kitsch, Rebel Heart, Attitude, I Am, and XOXZ. The group recently opened its second world tour at KSPO Dome in Songpa, Seoul, drawing about 28,200 fans over three days, following a first tour that spanned multiple countries and drew hundreds of thousands of fans. Won-young has also built a career as an advertising model across finance, fashion, and beauty, reinforcing her status as an “MZ icon.”
