TaepungSangsa posts double-digit nationwide ratings, outpacing rivals on Nov. 9.
tvN’s weekend drama TaepungSangsa (태풍상사) closed in on double‑digit ratings on the November 9 broadcast, surpassing MBC’s blockbuster historical drama and other rivals to take first place in weekend drama ratings. According to Nielsen Korea, TaepungSangsa Episode 10 recorded a nationwide average rating of 9.4% and a peak of 10.6%. In the Seoul metropolitan area, the rating averaged 9.6% with a peak of 10.9%. The 2049 target rating also rose, with nationwide average 2.4% and peak 2.7%.
In the cable and 종편 charts, TaepungSangsa continued to lead, ranking first in its time slot. On the same night, TaepungSangsa’s 10th episode showcased the trio—Kang Taepung (Lee Jun-ho), Oh Mi-seon (Kim Min-ha), and Ma Jin (Lee Chang-hoon)—as their struggles continued. The episode unfolds with Mi-seon’s observational photos and Taepung’s improvised lantern projector helping to clarify a bribery case, while Ma Jin faces a fine.
TaepungSangsa also pushes forward as the team races to prevent the helmet discard at the port, navigating roadblocks from highway construction and using motorbikes and taxis to press on. Taepung and Mi-seon’s evolving relationship grows more nuanced, with Taepung confessing his gratitude for her support and sharing a kiss that leaves Mi-seon unsure how relationships should work. As the two characters’ feelings become more entangled, viewers can expect continued tension.
Meanwhile, Chairman Py Park-ho (Kim Sang-ho) appears to press for TaepungSangsa, and a torn loan agreement page surfaces in both Taepung’s and his father’s financial records, hinting at a hidden motive behind his interest. The mystery surrounding the loan certificate deepens as Taepung works to uncover the truth. TaepungSangsa airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:10 PM on tvN.
