ILLIT Declares the End of Cuteness at Glitter Day Encore

ILLIT previews her new single NOT CUTE ANYMORE ahead of its release

Ahead of her comeback, ILLIT wrapped up the GLITTER DAY fan concert, serving as the finale of a global tour that began in June in Seoul and continued to Japan’s Kanagawa and Osaka. The GLITTER DAY ENCORE at Seoul’s Olympic Hall on the 8th and 9th sold out all eight shows, underscoring ILLIT’s strong ticket power.

During the performance, ILLIT teased new material by revealing a portion of choreography. The concert featured a rich setlist including tracks from her mini-album bomb, such as the title track Borrowed Cat (Do the Dance), Tick-Tack, I’ll Like You, Lucky Girl Syndrome, Magnetic, and Almond Chocolate (Korean Ver.), and also marked the domestic debut of her Japanese single Toki Yo Tomare. Fans sang along to every song, creating a high-energy atmosphere.

Covers drew significant applause, with ILLIT performing LE SSERAFIM’s Perfect Night as a group, and individually presenting Jeon Somi’s Fast Forward, Heize’s And July, Bolbbalgan4’s Some, Baek Yerin’s Square (2017), and Jennie’s Mantra. The night also featured a dynamic dance challenge segment that showcased the group’s diverse talents.

The concert’s highlight was the interaction with fans in the crowd. After meeting fans directly and an encore including Night Picnic and oops!, the group united the venue as one. Teary-eyed members said that thanks to the Glit fandom they had grown, and they pledged to become even prouder artists for bigger stages ahead.

Wrapping up the show, ILLIT declared that the era of “cute” is over and urged fans to look forward to the upcoming NOT CUTE ANYMORE single. Concept photos for the release were scheduled to be released on the 10th and 12th.
