LE SSERAFIM’s “Spaghetti” Proves HYBE’s Musical Spectrum: Multilabel System Bears Fruit

HYBE girl groups chart on the Billboard Hot 100 across diverse genres, underscoring a global expansion of HYBE’s multi-label strategy

LE SSERAFIM’s new track Spaghetti, featuring j-hope of BTS, propelled the group to No. 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking a new personal best for the group. The song is noted for its experimental sound and witty lyrics, illustrating the group’s complex musical approach.

NewJeans has racked up a string of Hot 100 entries: Ditto debuted at No. 82, followed by OMG at No. 74, Super Shy at No. 48, ETA at No. 81, and Cool With You at No. 93. This sequence highlights the group’s continued presence on the chart.

ILLIT debuted with Magnetic, entering the Hot 100 at No. 91, setting a record for the fastest entry by a K-pop rookie girl group. The group’s ascent signals growing traction for new acts within HYBE’s system.

Cats Eye entered the Hot 100 first at No. 89 with Gnarly, and later climbed to a career-high No. 37 with Gabriela, continuing their momentum. The group also earned two Grammy nominations—Best New Artist and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance—highlighting HYBE’s growing influence on the global stage.

Industry observers attribute these results to HYBE’s multi-label system, where each label operates independently while sharing a global production network and infrastructure to maximize efficiency. HYBE now runs more than 16 labels worldwide, with artists across pop, hip-hop, Latin, and country, among other genres, communicating with fans globally and through locally tailored strategies.

HYBE is accelerating localization, having established China and India entities, and maintaining ongoing global auditions in North and South America and Japan. HYBE America is collaborating with Geffen Records to launch the next generation of global girl groups, following Cats Eye’s era.

Analysts see HYBE’s girl-group strategy as an evolution model for the K-pop industry, emphasizing pre-debut global auditions and local producers’ co-creation to drive group success. The approach is expected to broaden the pool of talent and facilitate the global expansion of the resulting acts, allowing high-quality music to reach audiences worldwide.
