IGIN’s Japan Edition features a black bottle with a gray-to-black gradient inspired by Korean heritage and Mount Fuji; preorder begins on AEON Online
Jinis Lamp, the Korea-based startup behind the IGIN brand, announced on November 6 that its IGIN Apple Jin Japan Edition will go on preorder on AEON’s online mall in Japan. The move is a limited Black Friday edition designed to gauge Japanese consumer response before expanding to AEON’s offline stores.
IGIN Apple Jin Japan Edition is crafted in a distinctive black bottle. Its gradient, inspired by Korea’s traditional “meok,” transitions from gray to deep black, and Mount Fuji is reflected in the design to symbolize the global reach of K-beverage.
The product first debuted at a pop-up store in Tokyo’s Shibuya last month, drawing strong interest. Over five days from October 15 to 19, about 8,000 visitors helped IGIN achieve record sales.
IGIN is a brand by Jinis Lamp, the Korea-based startup founded in 2022, producing the distilled Apple Jin and the RTD Apple Tonic. The company continues to reinterpret traditional liquor to drive the global diffusion of K- beverages.
AEON, Japan’s largest distributor, operates 164 stores domestically and 38 overseas stores across Asia. Based on the warm reception at the Tokyo pop-up, Jinis Lamp aims to expand sales to AEON’s offline stores and strengthen local partnerships, signaling higher expectations for the brand’s growth in Japan and other Asian markets.
