Season 1 wraps up as global fan interest grows and interactive elements expand
Mnet Plus, CJ ENM’s K-pop content platform, has wrapped up the first season of its original reality show Hide and Seek, which premiered in March. The show features a seeker and K-pop artists competing in a survival game that lasts 4,444 seconds across various locations, incorporating a fan-interactive element to heighten immersion.
To date, the videos tied to Hide and Seek have drawn about 14 million views across social media, and the IP’s unique users exceed one million. This year, the platform’s new subscriber contributions ranked third, with Treasure and NCT WISH appearing as the main participants in March and April, respectively, contributing to subscriber growth for two consecutive months.
In particular, the NCT WISH arc saw daily active users surge by about 1,200% day-over-day immediately after release. RIIZE, ZEROBASEONE, TXT, ALLDAY PROJECT, TOURS, and BOYNEXTDOOR were among the eight groups participating as players.
Mnet Plus said it is pleased that the first original program has become an IP loved by a global fandom, and it plans to expand the universe and strengthen fan-interactive features next year to deliver higher immersion and entertainment.
