ILLIT has been tapped to perform the opening theme for a popular Japanese TV anime, marking another milestone in their growing global presence. The group, consisting of Yuna, Minju, Moca, Wonhee, and Iroha, will perform the opening for Season 2 of the anime Princess “Time of Torture,” which is set to air on Japanese terrestrial channels and OTT in January next year.

The anime centers on a princess who is captured and surrounded by delicious meals and playful activities as a form of “torture,” and is based on a popular manga that has been serialized since 2019.

The collaboration pairs the trendsetting group with the show’s concept, generating anticipation for the song. “We’re honored to sing the opening for an anime beloved in Japan,” the group said, “we’re excited about the potential synergy our song could create, and we hope fans will lookout for Illit’s collaboration with the anime.”
