NVIDIA held the GeForce Gamer Festival, a 25th-anniversary celebration of GeForce GPUs in Korea, on the afternoon of the 30th at COEX’s K-Pop Square in Seoul. The event featured GeForce technology demos and activities by NVIDIA partners and distributors, demonstrations of the latest games from domestic developers such as NCSoft and Krafton, a StarCraft pro match, a Taekwondo demo by the K-Tigers, and a LE SSERAFIM performance.

At the GeForce Experience zone, ASUS, Colorful, and MSI joined with Lenovo and Jooyontech to host exhibitions, while retailers Coupang, 11st, and Gmarket also hosted activities.

From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m., the main stage program was streamed live on the domestic ChiJiJik platform and the global platform Twitch. NCSoft operated hands-on booths for the next-generation MMORPG Aion 2 and the open-world shooter Cinder City, with both titles set to support DLSS 4 multi-frame generation at launch.

Jensen Huang, NVIDIA’s CEO, appeared at the end and praised Korean fans for turning esports and PC gaming into a global phenomenon, saying the AI revolution enabled by decades of NVIDIA technology was possible because of esports in Korea.

He added that Korean gamers have brought NVIDIA this far and expressed his appreciation: I love you all — I love PC bangs, esports, and you.

Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong joined on stage and said, NVIDIA released GeForce 256 twenty-five years ago using Samsung’s DDR memory. Since then the two companies have cooperated, and my friendship with Jensen Huang began. There have been ups and downs, but we’ve worked together all along.

Matt Wuebbling, NVIDIA’s GeForce Marketing VP, said, Korean gamers have always led new generations. The GeForce Gamer Festival, held for the first time in Seoul, celebrates decades of achievement and aims to inspire the next generation of gamers and creators.
