ZEROBASEONE’s ICONIK Tops Oricon Daily Album Ranking, Aiming for No. 1

ZEROBASEONE, a nine-member K-pop group consisting of Seong Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Sek Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Gyubin, Park Gun-uk, and Han Yoo-jin, released the Japanese special EP ICONIK on October 29. The title track, ICONIK (Japanese ver.), immediately jumped to No. 2 on the Oricon Daily Albums chart for October 28, signaling strong local interest in the group.

In addition, ICONIK (Japanese ver.) topped the iTunes Japan K-pop Top Songs chart and entered Line Music’s Real-time Top 100 at No. 10, marking a solid start to their Japanese commercial momentum. To capitalize on the release, the group has appeared on major local programs such as TV Asahi’s Music Station and TBS’s CDTV Live!, and has been involved in a collaboration with JR Central (JR Tokai) as part of broad promotional efforts, with a world tour already underway in Japan.

Their Japanese popularity had long been anticipated. In 2024, their debut Japanese single “Yura Yuri – Unmei no Hana -” achieved a half-million sales in its first week, setting a record for overseas artists’ debut album sales at the time. Their first EP, PREZENT, topped both the Oricon weekly albums ranking and the weekly combined albums ranking, and their performance in the first half of 2025 placed them fourth on Billboard Japan’s Top Albums Sales. The group also received the Best New Artist award in the Asia category at the 39th Japan Gold Disc Awards.

Iconik has further solidified ZEROBASEONE’s status among the全球 top tier acts, with a two-day world tour at Saitama Super Arena starting on October 29 and continuing on October 30. Due to enthusiastic fan demand, restricted-view seats were opened for the performances.
