An intimate look at intergenerational care and the resilience of family

The second feature, The Time of Growing Up, directed by Jeong Seung-oh, was screened as the opening film of Namdo Film Festival, having premiered earlier in Busan. Jeong Seung-oh returns with sharper humor and insight. From his early shorts, he has continued to tell stories about family. Family films have become an indispensable theme in Korean independent cinema since the 2010s. He wonders how he feels about continuing to make family films.
