SM Entertainment has become the second-largest shareholder of Great Me Entertainment through an equity transfer, as Great Me’s boy group 82MAJOR made their first comeback. They said SM would provide numerous opportunities and support, vowing to repay them with success.

SM completed the stake acquisition in May through the equity transfer. As this is Great Me’s first album release since SM became the 2nd-largest shareholder, questions arose. Six months after their return, 82MAJOR’s mini-album Trophy was released at 6 p.m. today on various music sites.

Cho Sung-il said that working with SM’s senior artists is an honor and that SM has provided many opportunities and support, for which he is grateful and determined to repay with success. Yoon Ye-chan said he admires SM artists, including NCT’s Mark and SHINee, and is a fan of the senior artists. Nam Seong-mo said he wants to learn the mindset of performing on stage from SHINee’s seniors and hopes to bring the same energy to the stage even as time passes. Cho Sung-il recalled filming a YouTube content with Hyoyeon; he was impressed by her kindness and aura and hopes to work with her again.

Regarding the track “Need That Bass,” Hwang Seong-bin explained that it was written imagining the audience’s energy and urged fans to play the song to join the excitement.
