Tomorrow (the 30th), a court is set to issue its ruling in the dispute over NewJeans’ exclusive contract with the agency ADOR. The Seoul Central District Court is scheduled to issue its ruling on ADOR’s exclusive-contract validity suit against NewJeans’ members at 9:50 a.m. tomorrow.

Earlier, the court held mediation sessions in August and last month, but the parties ultimately failed to reach a settlement. NewJeans had claimed in November of last year that the contract was terminated due to ADOR’s breach, and announced plans to pursue independent activities.

In response, ADOR filed suit seeking confirmation of the contract’s validity and also filed a provisional injunction to restrain the members’ independent activities. When the court granted the injunction, NewJeans appealed, but those appeals were dismissed.
