Ha Min-gi, the grandson of Shinjeon Tteokbokgi founder Ha Seong-ho, is preparing to debut as an idol. On the 28th, his agency Modern Berry Korea announced plans to launch a new boy group in the latter half of 2026, with Ha Min-gi among the trainees expected to engage with fans through various channels. The company says it is dedicating efforts to training for the late-2026 debut as part of its broader artist-development program.

According to the agency, Ha Min-gi was born in 2007 and is the founder’s grandson. He previously trained at SM Entertainment and is described as tall, at about 185 centimeters, with a striking visual. A company official noted the family’s active support for Ha Min-gi’s debut preparations and said they are focusing on training for the late-2026 launch, highlighting the meticulous preparation behind the new group.

Shinjeon Tteokbokgi is a 떡볶이 franchise with more than 800 stores nationwide, providing context for Ha Min-gi’s background and connections. Ha Min-gi expressed excitement about the prospect of communicating with a diverse range of fans through the agency, saying that even as a trainee, he hopes to connect with audiences through music that comes from the heart.
