THE BOYZ member Eric has been revealed to be the nephew of SonTail, a contestant on Coupang Play’s Just Makeup. The agency WinHundred confirmed the family connection, saying SonTail is indeed Eric’s aunt.

Rumors about their relation had circulated on social media after announcements about SonTail’s appearance on Just Makeup, a global showcase for K-beauty makeup artists. A fan-provided video from a fan signing event sparked further talk when Eric replied to the fan that his aunt runs a shop in Cheongdam-dong and is the head of Jung Saemmul.

Eric subsequently acknowledged the claim, confirming the familial tie publicly. SonTail—whose real name is Son Ju-hee—appears on the show under the moniker “SonTail,” meaning “the details at the fingertips,” and has drawn attention for her meticulous artistry.

The show’s participants include makeup artists who have earned recognition worldwide, with SonTail noted for her long career. It was also highlighted that SonTail previously spent 19 years at Jung Saemmul Inspiration, and has served as a dedicated makeup artist to actress Kim Tae-hee.

Eric debuted with THE BOYZ in 2017 and has since pursued rap, expanding his musical range through original compositions. In addition, he was recently recognized at the TikTok Awards 2025 held at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium for Best Performance.
