Director Yoon Ga-eun’s new film earns praise from Byun Young-ju and Yeon Sang-ho, with Kim Hye-soo, Park Jung-min, and Kim Tae-ri calling it “the best Korean film of the year” and “a masterpiece.”
The Owner of the World, the latest feature from director Yoon Ga-eun, who earned acclaim for Our People and Our Home, opened on Oct. 22. Directors Byeon Young-ju and Yeon Sang-ho, along with stars Kim Hye-soo, Park Jung-min, and Kim Tae-ri, praised it as “the best Korean film of the year” and “a masterpiece.”
The film opens six years after her acclaimed works, and it is expected to surpass the audience records of those titles, which drew around 50,000 admissions before the COVID-19 pandemic.
