LE SSERAFIM made the first live performance of their fan song on America’s Got Talent. On the 25th at 11 a.m. Korean time, NBC’s flagship variety program posted a live video of ‘Pearlies (My oyster is the world)’ from the group’s single album on its official YouTube channel. The video was filmed in AGT’s music room during the show’s September broadcast when LE SSERAFIM appeared. Appearing in a bright mood, LE SSERAFIM delivered delicate vocals and conveyed messages such as ‘your gaze, your voice, and warmth — I was happy; this is my true heart,’ leaving fans deeply moved. The members’ clear voices and sincere lyrics created a deep resonance. ‘Pearlies (My oyster is the world)’ grew out of comments Huh Yoon-jin shared during the April Incheon stop of the world tour. She said, ‘Just as a shell endures a painful time and then a pearl emerges, I believe my own pearl will be created soon, and I want to protect FEARNOT.’ That sincerity became the song’s starting point, and Huh Yoon-jin personally participated in its writing to share her emotions. The song’s title also arose from that idea. By reversing the perspective of the debut album’s track ‘The World Is My Oyster,’ the group reveals an inner world that’s grown. Huh Yoon-jin added, ‘FEARNOT should understand that what we have is the world itself, rather than something to conquer.’
