LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yoon-jin has taken an increasingly active role in the group’s new release, broadening her artistry and deepening fan engagement. She began her career on the debut album by contributing lyrics to the track Blue Flame, and she later served as the main producer for The Reason I Can’t Go Mad on the group’s fourth mini album. In addition, she has continually released solo self-penned tracks, including Raise Your Glass, I ≠ DOLL, Pearlies (My Oyster Is the World), Blessing in Disguise, and Jellyfish, further expanding her production and songwriting remit.
The group is scheduled to drop the SPAGHETTI single on October 24 at 1 p.m., with Huh Yoon-jin credited on both the title track SPAGHETTI and the B-side Pearlies (My Oyster Is the World). Pearlies was inspired by her remarks during the April world tour in Incheon, where she spoke about transforming challenging experiences into music.
SoS Music explained that the track’s theme centers on the idea of forming one’s own pearl through the creative process, trusting that her love will not fade along the way. Regarding the direction for this release, the label said the aim is for listeners to sense an increasingly steadfast inner self and the hardening process reflected in the music.
When outlining her approach to songwriting and production, Huh Yoon-jin emphasizes storytelling first and selecting music that matches the narrative. She also notes that, when working on LE SSERAFIM’s material, she draws on each member’s traits to craft directions that highlight their individual charms, while aiming to tailor guidance to suit the group’s dynamics.
